Hello world!

July 27th, 2007

Well, my webdesigner son, Ben keeps telling me that I need to blog, so here I am!

My old website had got so out of date that something had to be done.

The past 12 months has been truly remarkable, exhilarating, totally fulfilling and very sad all at the same time. The good bits have been to do with my change of job and the sad stuff was the loss of our first grandchild, Amy, who was stillborn at full term. Nearly a year on, the dreadful loss still weighs heavy. Of course. Amy now has the amazing experience of looking into the face of Jesus. For us, particularly Ben and Mary Lou, the pain remains very real.

I now lead the Elim School of Ministry based at Regents Theological College in Nantwich, Cheshire. It’s an eight month residential course aimed at developing missional leaders. On top of that, I’m also the evangelism coordinator for the Elim churches in the UK. So these two roles keep me out of mischief!

Just got back last night from a weekend at Clydebank Elim Family Church near Glasgow. I’m going to be helping them with their outreach over the next couple of years. Great folks in a really tough situation, but I’m sure we’ll see something happening.

Anyways, there’s a research paper waiting to be written for my Mth., so I’ll put some more down in due course.
